Investconsulting Company, a privately owned independent consultancy company was founded by its CEO Mr. Kadyr Baikenov. He graduated from the Moscow Machine Tool Institute with a degree of Mechanical Engineer and subsequently from the Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR specialising in the National economy management.
Who we are
Mr. Baikenov has considerable experience in economic and financial activity in the state authorities. From 1987 to 1995 he worked as the deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakhstan SSR, the State Counselor to the Kazakh SSR, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Energy and Fuel Resources of the RK, the Chairman of the Defense Committee under the Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and as the Minister of energy and fuel resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of KazAtomProm National Atomic Company.
Mr. Baikenov has been the Chairman of the Board of the Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2001, and the President of the Union of Engineering Companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from 2002.
As of incorporation in 1995, Mr. Baikenov is the President of “Investconsulting company” LLP. Mr. Baikenov directly managed the elaboration of the State Program for development of power and oil and gas complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2010. Amongst others, the following projects were developed and implemented under his management:
- Geological surveys of the Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian Sea
- Tengizchevroil JV
- exploration and development Tengiz oil field
- exploration and development of the Karachaganak oil field
Investconsulting’s efforts in attracting finances have helped a number of our partnering local companies to launch projects with foreign investments. The Company is a member of the Consideration of Employers in Kazakhstan, the Association of Equipment and Services Producers for subsoil users and the Engineering Companies Union of Kazakhstan.
